David Mintz

I was born in New York City, and as an artist, am self taught. My inspiration comes from color and movement which I have always enjoyed. What would things look like when expressed through that understanding was, and still is very exciting to me. And the result, is the visual feast of my many artworks.

Themes being painted: Music and Romance and abstracts..

My paintings trigger imagination and fantasy. It is important to express my feelings on the subject matter I work on, and thus the paintings are fluid and full of life.

I dwell in the spirituality of art.

My musical paintings are color and form that make sense to the musical sounds you hear when looking at them. The paintings reflect rythm and beat in pure form of color and shape. There are no instruments, notes or people. They are truly a visual feast, and when viewed with music, produce a total impact, that is emotionally enjoyable.

It's Not Pizza, is a romantic erotic series that expresses desires and fantasy.

Standing in front of my canvas, I focus on my spiritual awareness, and wait for that to move through me and start materializing images on the canvas in front of me.

Currently. I teach art at the Belen Public Library two days a week to teens and adults. In my free time, I contiue to create and inspire.
