Thirty five years ago 'Art' was for me, just a school subject. Although I wanted to further my art studies, it was simply not an option as being and Artist was not considered to be a viable career in my family.
Six years ago I survived a serious attack on my life. During the year of physical and emotional recovery I did two drawings and found the activity both calming and fulfilling.
Three years ago I mustered the courage to enrol in art classes and continue to study under Danie de Wet and Gillian Taylor of Studio Collective in South Africa.
